The Annual Awards Spring Dinner

April 3, 2008

The annual MAWE Spring Awards dinner is fast approaching. The Spring Awards dinner, to be held on April 3rd, 2008, allows us to highlight the accomplishments of three amazing women at different stages of their careers. The Mary E. Tobin Award recognizes a woman who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in her field and has served as an inspiration and role model for other women. The Alice Jeghelian Award for Professional Excellence honors a woman who has performed consistently at the highest standards when in roles of increasing responsibility. Finally, the Graduate Student/New Professional Award acknowledges the achievement and spirit of a woman in the early stages of her career.

The MAWE Executive Board is currently seeking nominations for each of these awards. We need your help identifying the outstanding women among us. If there is a woman (MAWE member or not) who you feel embodies the qualities outlined by an award description, please complete a nomination form found below.

Nominations can be e-mailed to MAWE Vice President, Kristi O'Connor, at Kristin_O'Connor@harvard.edu. All nominations are due no later than Thursday, February 28th. Award winners and their nominators will be contacted no later than Friday, March 21st.  We will announce the award recipients on the MAWE web site on March 26, 2008. We hope you will take a moment to recognize an outstanding woman that you know!
